Considerations This is a spoilerfree review. 80+ in my rating means really good. The Story Natsuo is a gifted girl that can ace everything in life therefore she lives her life with the utmost boredom and carelessness. Her life starts to change when Yuzuko invites her to the new MMA club. The story of Teppuu is very good. Its a common cliche to have animes and mangas have the good old Talent vs Hardwork but with this series I feel like its really well made especially because there are ulterior motives and distorted ways of thinking on both sides rather than just two people striving to be good or better. One thing that was able to surprise me was the quantity and quality of the MMA dynamics in this work especially when it comes to the ground game. Things like guard pass ankle lock arm lock rear choke triangle kimura and many others are well presented in this work. The Art Style The art is pretty good. The character designs are very unique and you can totally distinguish each one. Proportions and angles are used in an incredible way. Other than Natsuo and Yuzuko nothing is really well developed but it doesnt feel like they lack either since the main story is really good. As I always like to talk about the main characters Natsuo was good. Her cocky vibe as someone whos always been talented and is now throwing herself into something new is pretty good to see but I honestly think she gets too edgy at times yet that doesnt ruins the work. Conclusion If youre like me you skip everything and read only the conclusion because you dont want to get spoiled with other themes. So I will try to be brief on this point: Read it. This manga is really good and if you like martial arts youre definitely going to like this manga. If you have no knowledge about ground fights thats also a good choice.
