DISCLAIMER: Just like everyone of my other reviews I am judging this season based strictly on it and its two previous seasons not as an adaptation to the manga which I have never read and do not plan on doing so if you were looking for that kind of review you wont find it here. Also theres SPOILERS CONTEXT: skip if you dont care Ive been in a reviewing kind of mood and I want to cover these shows when Im actually fresh on them and I absolutely loved the previous seasons so I was really looking forward to this season therefore I feel like I want to say how I felt about it but I may have had my expectation set too high so take that how you will. Also I always say this in all my reviews but please dont take this as a personal attack on you if you dont agree. My standards are just different not better. Also as always punctuation isnt important to me on these reviews so dont expect perfection but it still should be readable and understandable so if it isnt lemme know. Also as always if you want to discuss anything or ask me anything in regards to the review feel free to message me CHARMING: Being a big fan of the previous seasons this is show that just simply works for me and to clarify I enjoyed this season but you can enjoy something and still feel disappointed by it. But as far as the stuff that stays the same quality or is just good this show still has the light hearted feel of the previous seasons and the fun cast of characters that go along with it. It also still has the fantastic art style that helped make the show originally stand out. I will also say it was nice that they addressed iruma dealing with his terrible past. Basically what Im saying is if you liked the other seaons you will still most likely enjoy this one it by no means loses everything that made it fun to begin with thats not what Im trying to say with this review. DISAPPOINTMENT: So Im not sure how most people feel about this but tournaments arcs in these shows are typically kind of bad they drag on too long and barely progess the wider story and iruma is no exception for me. This season spent the whole time just dallying around on an honestly boring tournament like the characters arent even allow to fight each other without being disqualified. It also barely moves ahead the story or character development the antagonists are basically shown once and hardly do anything except mess with the tournament and not even directly. That one guy that iruma keeps having visions of i assume the last demon king or whatever shows up once and feels like its more to remind the audience that the writer didnt forget about him less than it actually ment something. To summarize the season kinda just dicks around for 21 episodes and hardly progresses anything which sucks because the previous seasons moved just enough to never make it feel too slow but they also never had this snails pace with small bread crumbs of progression thrown in there occasionally. CONCLUSION: if you really like the last two seasons you will probably still like this season on a basic level but you should expect some disappointment. The last thing I have to add is that I hope season 4 picks it back up
