The Vampire Dies In No Time well he dies all the time. The series starts off with a good foundation that sets the tone for the whole show wacky unpredictable but god damn does it make me laugh. The premise is basic but so malleable Vampire hunter Ronaldo burns down Dralucs millionyen mansion so now he has to live with him. Oh and did I mention Draluc has a really cute armadillo called John? Yeah hell become your favourite too. Draluc is a very weak vampire despite having noble lineage so he turns into ash at the dumbest things like getting jumpscared or getting bullied by kids. Ronaldo is a vampire hunter who is famous and vain enough to sell his own autobiography. John is John. Draluc and Ronaldos relationship can be loosely classified as frenemies. Multiple times does the show trick you into thinking hey maybe these two guys can finally have a touching bromance but no they are more than willing to sacrifice the other for the smallest inconveniences. The show is episodic with the main theme being Ronaldo and Draluc encountering an evil vampire with a weird ability and a weird goal to harm humans in a weird way. You watch the episode to see just how on Earth would they deal with them. Honourable mentions include a halfnaked vampire who attacks with vines that grow from his crotch and one that makes people speak only in their fetishes. Yeah it doesnt get any better than this. Side characters are also simple but they work well. I really liked Handa because of his god awful schemes to make Ronaldo look bad usually firing back at him. The only thing that really bothered me was how Hinaichi is a bit boring to me. Shes fine but shes just your typical tsunderetype who is weak to small animals and romance. Each episode feels fresh and different they swap around the characters so that you dont really get sick of seeing anyone in particular. Though I wish they utilised more of Marias personality being a brute. She appeared for a bit and it sort of felt like she was lazily written for like two seconds of fame. The comedy really sells it for me. Usually comedy in anime can get very boring and predictable but this show does a really really good job in subverting your expectations and throwing you off in how they deal with the wacky situations they get put in. It doesnt really get much deeper and I like that a lot. It stays true to its genre. It also does a good job in telling you bits and pieces of how their world works all while retaining their lightheartedness. I think this is a solid 70. Its a lowcommitment easy show to get into. If you want a laugh after a hard day at work Id recommend this show.
