SPOILER WARNING Hanging in there living is the toughest thing there is. Kakeru Naruse The reason I write this because I love Orange and want people to watch this one. Badly rated yet a very good premise on its story. I wonder how could I find this anime in an instant and still cant believe how it turned out to be one of my favourites in Romance genre. The Scifi material isnt that much but somewhat worth it. But here is the summary in general. It fits the story memorable and pretty yet not good enough. To be honest I really dont care about art style or else but if it determines the anime here is my opinion. It matches well with the story due it tells of the past. Its not that appealing but I cant say its not a good one. Is it fitting with the story? Of course it is. But I cant say its a good one. Its memorable yet still not good enough. For the animation cant say something about it. Its a soso for me. You cant change the future. But if you could what would you want to do? Despite some misfits due to theatrical drama scenes and a lot of distractions there were a lot of perspectives scenes beside the main character which is a bit appalling yet didnt affect the story so much the basis is very good enough. It tells about Takamiya Naho a 16 yearsold senior high school student receives a letter from 26 years old of herself. And then she has the power to change the future. To be honest on first glance the story is soso for me until I reached half of the series whereas the story has its own proofs of how did she receive those messages and her sacrifices to save her beloved one. The romance is the strongest trait of Orange it covers the flaws of the story and soothes my head with a notso complex but welldetailed story. The only thing I loathe about Orange is the drama. There are several twists which I can say considered unnecessary yet fits with the story well For example when Naho wants to give the chocolate. Too many dramas can be very appalling for the audiences who dont accept this kind of plot. I dont mind with drama but it could distract the romance if it didnt fit the story. About the scifi not much to say about it it has no nerves or flaws either. Perhaps Orange isnt created to entertain the Scifi genre audiences but it still gave a good and reasonable explanation of the story. It gives a lot of romance blended with a slice of life yet a bit of scifi. Orange has many flavours it can be sour and sweet at the same time. The VAs are talented and fits the roles well. Id like to give extra acclaim to Kakeru Naruses VA as he fits the role very well as a character who struggles with his problems. The articulation is very good and the words are implied very well with their roles. Yet there is a minor thing to say about Azusas VA as she sounds like annoying rather than cheerful. Other than those the other characters are pretty good at playing their roles. The Opening and Ending theme was pretty good. And without any bias I very like the songs displayed on this anime. It gives an excitement of the story. It tells the story very well. Personally Hikari no Hahen is pretty memorable and would like to listen to it again in my spare time. Its intriguing to see how the one who struggles does survive. The protagonist Naho Takamiya gives the act of a shy girl yet wants to do anything to save her beloved one. I must say she is sometimes dense and not brave enough to do something. But thats what makes her an interesting character to watch. She relies too much upon her feeling instead of her logic. It makes her unwilling to do something without the support of her friends. But her commitment to saving Kakeru whatever it takes make her a good protagonist of the story. The other main characters are good. Kakeru whose struggle with his life gives me a big impression of an authentic character who can bear the pain no matter how much then cover it with his outside attitude a very friendly cheerful and helpful person. On first glance Suwa doesnt show his crucial impact on the story yet he has sacrificed anything for the friendship. Hagita the insane yet smart character who played an important part in the story. Azusa the owner of Bakery who also helped both Kakeru and Naho a lot. Or Takako solid support for the story she didnt take either deep or important part of the story yet gave more colours of it. Its a romance with a slice of life premise. Dont expect too much of its genres I must say I enjoy the story very well. It gives me excitement about school romance in general. So if you want to watch an anime with a very good romance its the one to watch. Its very recommended as well for those who enjoy the slice of life with a good premise of drama and romance. It gives a very good plot whether the twists or the presentation. And also to whom it may concern if you have spare time and looking for an anime with not so contemplated yet welldetailed this is the one to watch. Dont watch this if you are very into a scifi genre. Trust me you wont watch a lot of it here. It still gives you the scifi plot but its not that much. It focuses more on romance and drama rather than scifi so dont accuse if you find this anime doesnt have too much of scifi material. At last I must say I enjoyed it so much and will rewatch it anytime soon. Its very good yet requires more improvement. Orange is a series where you can find the excitement of its romance thoroughly that you wont regret to watch. The story is pretty good characters are perhaps one of the strong traits of the story the art is subtle voice characters are good and theme songs are memorable. There are some improvements needed but overall I enjoy it a lot and its recommended for whom want to watch a badly rated yet very good story. Okay thats all.
