Osamu Mizutani

Well known for engaging with youngsters on his night time patrols of downtown areas to prevent delinquency and rehabilitate them. At the same time he has provided email and telephone counseling for many children from all parts of the country dealing with issues such as truancy psychological problems and suicide. Drawing on his experience in the field he currently highlights the various problems that children face today by writing for professional journals newspapers and magazines appearing on television and radio and giving talks around the country. Some of the issues he had to deal with are included in his manga Yomawari Sensei.
