He is a Japanese mangaka who debuted with his work Taishou Yarou in 1987 published in Weekly Morning magazine. After that he continued with several shortterm serializations in Morning and Monthly Afternoon. His first fullscale serialization was Decathlon in 1992 published in Young Sunday. He is a writer who can create unique characters and highly original stories. His each work has its own unique approach. He received the 13th Cultural Agency Media Arts Festival Manga Division Excellence Award and the 14th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award Manga Award for Hyouge Mono.
