Alright fuck it. Get ready to hear me vent about my biggest pet peeves in anime. Ill open up the umbrella and say its the tropes i hate the most within a series but also shit I hear in discussions that make me want to obsess over a different medium instead. Ive been debating on making this into a series long before I started confessions. The reason why I never started was because I wasnt actually sure Id have enough to make it into a regular thing but you know what I believe in myself. AniList series Q episode . I really dont wanna go there but I do feel like I should start off with my biggest pet peeve. Paying too much attention to the studio when a new anime is announced or is about to release in the upcoming season. Let me make myself perfectly clear. Theres nothing wrong with taking note of what series are being made by who. In my recent predictions for spring I mentioned companies too. Im talking about the horrid mentality of oh shit its z company guess I have to watch it/its gonna be great. I pretty much find the idea of favorite companies a complete joke. Yes all companies have their own style and things associated with it theres a reason why its called the Shaft headtilt and so forth. But again that really isnt what Im referring to. I just cant stand this sort of overt interest to a particular company as if they cant do any wrong. I have my set of favorite studios as well but Im not partial to any of them. The real point Im trying to make is that all companies have produced something terrible and it is vastly irrelevant in a lot of cases which studio does which show. There are so many different people working on every project the studio it happened to have been made at isnt the end all be all. Im even going to specify again I just see this shit way too much for both predictions as well as when things are announced. And it works in the other direction too people who flip shit about x studio working on y series. Every single time I see this it just feels so fucking anecdotal. Theres definitely a lot of ways to look at this Ill also say now that I have my biases in judging series that arent out yet as you have to go off as much as possible but I will confidently say Ive seen other people and not just AniList go that one extra step which really digs at me on top of me pretty much still equally willing to try everything in the end anyway. Im probably going to get a ton of hate for this and for every upcoming episode. Well then most likely youre one of the people who are doing this. So stop it.
