My favorite of Mamoru Hosoda movies which reminds that there are some that I still havent seen. One of the reasons its in my top 5 is the fact that it has made a lot of new anime fans. https://anilist.co/anime/15227/KonoSekainoKatasumini/ The newest entry in my top 5 from the same year as most of this list. Its mostly hand drawn without any noticeable CG elements that strengthens the nostalgic feel of the movie. Its set during WW2 but be not mistaken the story is about a girl and her daily struggles not the war itself which plays out in the background. In This Corner of the World is a very delightful movie despite its heavy moments which will bring you tears.
