Edit, Shoutout to @GoBusto! https://files.kiniro.uk/opensearch/

Does anybody know of a way to add Anilist as a custom search engine for Firefox?~~~I know you can do it on Chrome, but Firefox doesn't seem to support custom search engines natively? I know there's a MAL addon for MAL.

Short of building your own add-on - I don't see much that would be effective for this site.

@iSimon When searching off Anilist, if I want to search say "K-on" in my search bar, MAL comes up but Anilist never does.
Sometimes I want it to direct me to Anilist so I can add it to planning or something.

On Chrome if you add: https://anilist.co/search/anime?search=%25s to custom search engine, it will work.

Firefox and Chrome both support custom search engines.

Give me a few minutes, and I'll see if I can come up with something.

Korakys

I have it set up, @ me to remind me for when I get to my PC.

@GoBusto wasn't able to figure out how to add custom search engines on Firefox. I know if you go to like Github, then dropdown the 3dotmenu on URL bar, it shows "Add github as engine", but nowhere on Anilist or browse page do I get that option.
And np.

Gravity

@Korakys @ remind me on what?

GoBusto

OK, I cobbled something together: https://files.kiniro.uk/opensearch/

I made one for Anime and one for Manga. Just add them via the top-right search box, as you normally would.

Gravity

@GoBusto Awesome! Thank you so much!

To remind me to mention this once I got to my desktop PC. It is what I use to search AniList with.
