About my reviews and general feedback on series Ive always loved art and during my highschool years Ive been taught to analyse countless works like books poems paintings and statues. Maybe also because of this Ive developed a crytical eye and I can no longer consume something without judging it to some extent. This does not mean I know The Truth or that I never make mistakes. Actually the more I learn about the anime and manga industry as well as direction and art in general the more I realise I dont know enough. So please consider my reviews as my best effort and not as something that claims to be perfect flawless or completely impartial. I think that the most important thing for an anime or manga lover is to enjoy what they watch and read. Thus I am never implying you should not enjoy something just because I personally think it is not good quality. I myself have enjoyed a lot of trash to the point I could say trash is one of my favourite genre. And I dont think the time Ive spent consuming those works was wasted because I had a lot of fun Similarly Im never judging someone or their taste for liking something I consider bad quality. Maybe they were able to see something I couldnt in that particular work or maybe they just didnt care and had fun. Please dont take bad reviews and opinions on anime and manga works as a personal offense. I will probably write more negative reviews than positive ones although I swear Ill do my best to keep some balance. The fact is most works are just average or mediocre. In addition to that some works left me so amazed that Im not sure I would be able to write a review that can do them justice. Thats why I didnt write a review for most of my favourites. Lastly one could think that I have lost the ability to enjoy manga and anime for what they are because Im so picky. My reply is that understanding the artistical value behind a series makes me appreciate it even more. I dont care if I have to drop 50 series because they are not good enough for me if that means I can fully appreciate and understand an amazing series. My many negative reviews and opinions are not devaluating manga and anime as a medium. They are actually saying: hey Im judging you as I would a work of art so you better do a good job Note: after I complete a series I usually write a short post with my thoughts about it.
