Buhuan Shang

Hailing from Xi You Shang Bu Huan is a warrior who has taken the responsibility of stealing the mystical swords created during the Ancient demon wars to keep them out of the wrong hands. He is very aware of the way others feel but despite his great skill and charisma Lang Wu Yao claims his compassion is his own worst enemy. He is an enigmatic wandering swordsman alone by the time of season one. Shang Bu Huan outwardly appears cold and uncaring acting as if he doesnt care what others are doing and that everyone around him is crazy or unreasonable. But this apathetic persona doesnt come from a need to live up to a wandering swordsman instead coming from his desire to stay out of peoples lives and not troubling himself with their problems. However due to his compassionate nature he always ends up helping the people he comes across. He often gives people advice after saving them like Lang Wu Yao Juan Can Yun and his own imposter. Preferring to stay quiet other than complaining he still feels a need to speak his mind when others tell him of their reasons for living. His own philosophy was essentially challenged when Lang Wu Yao attempts to kill Lou Zhen Jie. Shangs motivation for taking the sorcerous swords threatening his home is not only to keep them from the magistrate but to keep them from the people who want revenge on the magistrate. Not believing in things like revenge he is only concerned with keeping dangerous people away from coming into contact with these otherworldly demon blades.
