A governing lord that rules the area that Yamayura is a part of and Nuwangis father. Much like his brother the emperor Sasante oppresses the people he rules over and considers himself to be the strongest wisest and noblest man in the land. When the people of Yamayura attack his castle out of revenge for Tusukurus death Sasante is killed by Hakuro during the fight sparking a civil war.
