Luffy and stripped of his Shichibukai status by the World Government after which he is imprisoned. Crocodile ate the fictional Devil Fruit Suna Suna no Mi Sand Sand Fruit giving him the ability to control sand as well as avoid damage by turning into sand. According to series creator Eiichiro Oda Crocodiles bounty would have been more than twice its value if he wasnt a Shichibukai his former bounty before accepting Shichibukai status was 81000000.
