A fiveyear old Irish girl who goes out in search of a the legendary Black Swordsman. She hopes to recruit his services to protect her village from an imminent attack by English soldiers however the Black Swordsman will only accept a particular genre of books as payment for his services. Upon receiving her book the swordsman engulfs himself in reading the novel. While the girl anxiously awaiting the Black Swordsman to finish the novel the English approach the Irish village. The girl knows the Black Swordsman039s secret but she makes a promise never to tell anyone about it otherwise he039ll kill her.
