A strange girl that suddenly sneaks into Takerus room believing it was her destiny to be with him. As she gets to know her rivals in love Meiyas belief in that destiny is becoming shaken.
As the heiress of the overtly large and wealthy Mitsurugi Zaibatsu she had a somewhat sheltered upbringing. As a result Meiya is a bit naive about the world but has a very strong sense of righteousness showing very adverse feelings to things like cheating and underhanded tactics. She speaks in an oldfashioned manner and often carries around her treasured sword the Minaru Kamui.
In Alternative Meiya has a background she refuses to talk about. Rational and calm she hates anything that could be seen as special treatment. Meiya is incredibly righteous and noble and as such she often has conflicting feelings about her duty as a soldier and her duty to the Japanese people. As Storm Vanguard she is particularly skilled in close combat especially with a sword.
