In the original Space Battleship Yamato 1974 series Analyzer is a squat humansized robot who originally worked in the EDFs hospital Analyzer joins the Yamato crew on his own request believing it to be the only place he can truly prove himself.
In 2199 Analyzer is illustrated just like the original but the robot is portrayed as the purpose built autonomous subcomputer of the Yamato and is more behaved and a bit of a deadpan.
