Question about the various Cardfight series...

Is it okay to just skip some of the series? Obviously it doesnt seem possible to skip individual seasons but both the wiki and Wikipedia list them in groups of seasons that are their own series or something. My question is this: The wiki seems to imply that each series original G 2018 overDress are completely separate stories but Im not sure if thats true... So is it? Can I just skip the first two series and start with the 2018 one? Or is there crucial worldbuilding or stuff in the original and/or G series which means I have to watch them first? I mostly want to know for two reasons: 1 its so longggg and 2 I mostly want to watch it for the openings/endings by Roselia RAS Argo etc. which mainly start from the 2018 series. Theres one Roselia song and one by RAS vocalist in G but... meh
