Gunjou no Magmel - Episode 2 (Release Discussion)
So still no sign of the main plot but for now, this is all about a new continent (Magmel, duh!) has been discovered, and it’s full of potential riches and crazy dangerous flora and fauna. That draws fame and fortune-seekers by the droves, and a cottage industry of 'Anglers' has arisen to rescue their asses when they get into trouble. Inyou is one such Angeler, and lives with his assistant Zero. So each week, we will get a different case of having to save someone who has gotten into a sticky situation in Magmel.
Looks like Inyou is trying to outdo/surpass/honor the name of the person who taught him everything, a guy who obviously took him in years ago in his dark moment of despair - this was a driving point for him to offering his help to Emilia who sought out Inyou's service to help save her father. Her father was in some shady experiments, and because of that got caught in between massive kare bears who wanted to free their cubs (which Emilia's father's organization was holding in their facility) - this leads to some massive Godzilla like creature to enter the fray. But thanks to Inyou's skills, and some aid from Emilia, they were able to resolve this case.
This episode really did a good job in depicting the greed of man, and everything they do in order to gain power. I'm sure there will be a lot more scenarios where ethics and morals will be put to the test. There is so much Naruto vibes in its directing, the soundtrack as well. This is another seasonal series that is low-rent but pretty enjoyable as a time passer.
