300 years after the Death of Star Face, marionettes were created with maiden circuits based on the six originals, however, the maiden circuits have degenerated in each generation of marionettes, and marionettes with defective maiden circuits become rogue marionettes that go berserk and destroy anything in their path. Kitajima, the daughter of the late professor Kitajima who was researching the cure for maiden circuits going out of control, wishes to finish her late father’s work and is looking for the “Inheritance of Face”. It is said to contain the answers as to why later maiden circuits are going haywire. But as they went to investigate the tomb of Face, they were attacked by a group of rogue marionettes and they were rescued by a strange marionette who calls herself, Zero.

Note: This series was originally written as an OVA sequel for Saber Marionette R, but it was later abandoned. Instead, an 8 chapter serial was released. The first 7 chapters are manga, while the last chapter was released in novel format. This chapter is not included in this entry.
