I rewatched this anime as I was playing Babylonia singularity in the game and my opinion has changed significantly I dont really remember my initial thought about it but I know that I used to think its the same level as Apocrypha Im very sorry Babylonia is one of the best fgo first arc story while the story is not as deep as Camelot. It did a great job portraying the desperation to survive giving all of our to a leader and overcoming hardships. This anime is not by any means a perfect adaptation because of EP 11 19 and 20 but it is not a bad or mediocre adaptation at all in fact its actually a good to amazing adaptation especially the first 18 episode. I love how much care and effort they put in this anime especially during NP scenes while the game was more in depth about the characters the anime did not fail providing information about how they are and their true nature. Since im talking about characters lets talk about Gilgamesh easily the best character in the anime. The breath of fresh air not as the King of Heroes we know but as the King of Uruk. You can see that hes a very wise king who cares for his people and companians. Babylonia did a great job potraying Gil as a maturity as example we see him organizing supplies ordering the troops to protect Uruk etc. We even get to see a completely different kind of Gilgamesh who love to poking fun around Ishtar even headpats xD and others. He gave a strong word of encouragement to Ritsuka and Mash his people just for the final showdown so that they know their fight was not in vain. Thats what I love about him well thats enough about him. The OSTs and sound effect was simply slendid as they fit in very well with the important moment that were showcased and managed to elevate that certain scene to another level and bring the same emotion just like I feel during my walkthrough. The fights and the choreography was amazing just as I expected well what is Fate anime if it dont have a godlike fight. the negative bits not much I wont go to specifics about what I dislike about it but I hate that they cut Jaguar Mans badassery and how they kind of butchered the very final fight. They kind of butchered King Hassan entrance and fight as well which is sad since thats one of my favourite part. Maybe thats all.. Overall All in all this is one of the best fate adaptation ive seen and worth the Gacha SQ and sweats. I really really enjoyed and like this anime they did it justice despite some of the cuts I reccomend you to play the game to get the full grasp of what FGO means and I can guarantee you will appreciate much more just like I did. Now bring on Fate/Endgame: Grand Temple of Time: Solomon.
