Midara na Aochan wa Benkyou ga Dekinai is a TV short romcom where the protagonist is aiming to go to university to escape to a place away from her family especially her father and to be separated from so called normies and males. Ao Horie plans were all going to plan until she meets her classmate Takumi Kijima. Ao the protagonist ends up having to deal with Takumi who ends up putting a damper on Aos perfect plan for the future. We get to experience a wholesome and adorable romcom between the two of the adorable duo. 1 Aos struggles and Takumis success The more the duo interacts Aos plans and everyday life takes a turn for the worst while Takumi manages to make progress towards the girl he admires and loves. During the beginning Ao is adamant to reject and deny anything Takumi tries which is quite the funny experience as we can see the more she interacts with Takumi the more she doesnt want to reject and deny him. On Takumis side its enjoyable to see him react with blushes and bursts of happiness as he feels hes getting closer to Ao. Each of their interactions we get to see their cuteness and foolishness which allows the viewers to adore their adorable romance and get to laugh at the stupidity. Even though the series is only 12minute episodes we get to experience such wholesome and adorable scenes which makes the viewing experience even better due to the lack of time. 2 Progress of the short plot With only 12 episodes of 12minutes the plot would obviously be shorter than more series but regardless we got to see an almost complete plot. The only problem I had with the plot would not showing a confirmation of them being boyfriend/girlfriend. Even so every other part of the plot we got to see was either extremely wholesome adorable and hilarious. I often found myself either smiling heavily or enjoying their wholesome/cuteness. Going into this anime I didnt expect to this to be so enjoyable since usually Tv Shorts arent as enjoyable as full 20min episodes as there is just not as much time to add the the viewers experience but gladly I was wrong. For a romcom I definitely think it ticked most boxes which is why I enjoyed this so much and find it even more impressive with less time given to experience. 3 My rating and conclusion My reasoning for giving Midara na Aochan wa Benkyou ga Dekinai a 91 is because of the viewing the experience feeling pretty much complete. I find it so impressive they were able to manage such a good and complete viewing experience despite the series being a TV Short. With all the wonderful experience between the adorable duo I found it hard to not give it a rating under 90. It is certainly worth to watch if you want a romcom with a short complete plot. You definitely wont regret giving this series a chance :.
