Review written in Portuguese and then translated into English. The Portuguese version is below the English one Getter Robo Go which Ill call GRG is a manga that can be divided into two parts because of the changes that occur in the plot from one of the battles ended by the Texas fortress gun. At the start of GRG we are introduced to the new characters who along with the recurring Hayato will be the main characters: Go Gai and Sho. Unfortunately both Go and Gai are simulacra of the former members of Getters pilot trio which is a bit dull but with Sho we have a woman in the pilot trio for the first time and she fulfills the role of the groups badass. Eventually as the setting and the premise of having an army of android creatures and super machines created using corpses Ill call them necrodroids threatening to conquer the earth various mechas from different countries with their foreign pilots make GRG different from the previous manga in the franchise but this beginning has a convoluted narrative due to the number of events happening sequentially and the reading becomes a little confusing and tiring. Unfortunately this is also reflected in the mangas artwork in various confrontations between the mechas and the necrodroids especially when one of the colossal necrodroids is involved. In addition I didnt like any of the new characters because those who arent onedimensional have weird behavioral changes such as the changes that occur to the most important American character and Sho. The American is an extremely racist character to the point of trying to kill the protagonist Go after picking a fight because of his racist slurs and he goes from being seen as a racist asshole to a rival because he falls in love with Sho in a temporary and brief love triangle with Go. Poor Sho in the midst of this transition of the American character goes through some complicated moments and goes from being the badass swordswoman to a weakened character who is eventually practically discarded after becoming a romantic interest. Now in the final stretch of the manga the narrative improves but at a cost that is even a little strange to think about due to the number of elements that are dropped from this manga or taken over from previous manga in the franchise. The great previous protagonist Ryouma returns along with the introduction of a definitive version of Getter that is called the Real Getter Robo the dinosaurs not only return but also take control of the enemy base and destroy the initial villain of the story the mechs from other countries become irrelevant Sho becomes a completely secondary character and so on. The manga gets better and reading it stops being an effort but how could that not be another example of what a mess it is? Its hard to think retroactively about this and not think about possible editorial or reader feedback on the manga during its publication period after all these were very aggressive changes but its impossible to know if any change is derived from something like this. The review is mostly negative but I still enjoyed the manga due to the amount of emotion creativity and skill that the art conveys although any words I use wont be able to do it justice. ////// Getter Robo Go que chamarei de GRG um mang que conseguimos dividir em duas partes por conta das mudanas que ocorrem no enredo a partir de uma da batalha finalizada pelo canho da fortalezaarma Texas. No incio de GRG somos introduzidos aos novos personagens que junto do recorrente Hayato sero o grupo de protagonistas esses so Go Gai e Sho. Infelizmente tanto Go quanto Gai so simulacros do antigos membros do trio de pilotos do Getter o que algo sem graa mas com a Sho temos pela primeira vez uma mulher compondo o trio e ela cumpre o papel de badass do grupo. Eventualmente conforme a ambientao e a premissa de ter um exercito de criaturas androides e super mquinas criadas usando cadveres chamarei de necrodrodes ameaando conquistar a terra vrios mechas de pases distintos com seus pilotos estrangeiros fazem com que GRG se diferencie dos mangs anteriores da franquia mas esse incio tem uma narrativa convoluta devido a quantidade de eventos acontecendo de forma encadeada e a leitura fica um pouco confusa e maante. Infelizmente isso tambm se reflete na arte do mang em diversos confrontos entre os mechas e os necrodrodes principalmente quando algum dos necrodrodes colossais est envolvido. Alm disso no gostei de nenhum personagem novo pois aqueles que no so unidimensionais possuem mudanas de comportamento esquisitas como por exemplo as mudanas que ocorrem ao personagem americano mais importante e a Sho. O Americano um personagem extremamente racista no nvel de tentar matar o protagonista Go aps criar uma briga devido a suas ofensas racistas e ele deixa de ser visto como um racista otrio para ser visto como um rival pois se apaixona pela Sho fazendo um tringulo amoroso temporrio e breve com o Go. A coitada da Sho em meio dessa transio do Americano passa por momentos complicados e deixa de ser a espadachim badass para ser uma personagem fragilizada e eventualmente praticamente descartada aps virar interesse romntico. Agora na reta final do mang a narrativa melhora mas a um custo que at um pouco estranho de pensar a respeito devido a quantidade de elementos que so descartados deste mang ou ento retomados dos mangs anteriores da franquia. O grande protagonista anterior Ryouma retorna junto da introduo de uma verso definitiva do Getter que chamada de Verdadeiro Getter Robo os dinossauros no s tambm retornam como tomam o controle da base inimiga e destroem o vilo inicial da trama os mechas de outros pases passam a ser irrelevantes a Sho se torna uma personagem completamente secundria e por a vai. O mang fica melhor e a leitura deixa de ser um esforo mas como isso no seria mais um exemplo da baguna que ele ? difcil pensar retroativamente a respeito e no cogitar sobre possveis feedbacks editoriais ou de leitores do mang durante seu perodo de publicao afinal foram mudanas muito agressivas mas impossvel saber se qualquer mudana derivada de algo do tipo. A review majoritariamente negativa mas ainda assim gostei do mang devido a quantidade de emoo criatividade e habilidade que a arte exala embora qualquer palavra que eu v usar no seja capaz de fazer jus.
