As someone who has been around the block a few times when it comes to BL I never get tired of neither this manga nor the mangaka. No manga Ive read has come close to both the wholesomeness and eroticism that this manga does. Yamamoto Kotetsuko has a real talent for creating BL that is not only sweet but also funny. While many romance tropes are present in this manga police officer/delinquent extremely heightened jealousy they are presented very well. Anyway I hope you enjoy this review. The way Aki and Tomoharu meet and eventually hook up is strange to say the least. Their relationship starts out as a onesided love by Aki but it quickly turns into mutual love. That is one of the main complaints Ive read about this manga that their relationship starts way too fast. After rereading this twice I have to say I could agree with that. The amount of time it seems like between them meeting and them having sex seems like nothing at all which might put a lot of people off. However I think that this is part of what makes the manga so enjoyable. Their relationship starts out very passionate and develops over the coming chapters through a series of hardships: which usually involve one of them getting injured the introduction of a love triangle or both. I usually detest love triangles in BL manga and they show up WAY too often. In this however the love triangle ends relatively quickly with a very sweet reiteration of the main characters love. Akis family is also a point of frequent contention in this manga and I always enjoy whenever they show up. Despite their meddlesome tendencies I think its nice how accepting they are of Ueda and Akis relationship their love is so pure who wouldnt???. I think it would be interesting in the future to include them more perhaps with a more complex arc of Aki getting The whole innocent x delinquent trope is hard at work here but I feel like it is not nearly as tiresome as it usually is. Tomoharu has a very interesting attitude towards life interacting with all sorts of people and trying to look past outward appearance. In this scenario then it is rather different from the innocent x delinquent plotline we see so often in romance manga where the innocent one just happens upon the delinquent in their time of innocence. Tomoharus been doing this for years but this is the first time hes fallen in love. Aside from the main characters I do think the side characters are worth mentioning. Each of them have their own little quirks but often share the trait that they want to fuck one of the two guys but usually end up contributing to the mangas overall comic effect. I really enjoy the chapters NOT about the main couple such as the high school couple having trouble deciding who is the top/bottom or Tomoharus senpai slowly finding love with another man. These stories are always a nice departure from the usual troubles that Tomoharu and Aki get into. Lastly Id like to talk about the humor in this manga. This is easily the funniest BL manga Ive ever read and that is part of the reason why I love it so much Yamamoto Kotetsuko knows how to make the characters look very funny without having to write any dialogue partly shown here: https://i.gyazo.com/cab802774b3df5e054f7a2edffbf0e2c.png I just love when she draws expressions like this Not only do their facial expressions convey humor but so does the dialogue The interactions between Aki and all the other characters even Tomoharu at times is great. It wouldnt be a stretch to say it is my favorite BL manga of all time but I think Id have to think about it a lot more. The title of this review is A manga that I hope never ends and I hold true to that Unfortunately I feel like we might be running out of content. The whole a new guy who is after the main characters and Tomoharu or Aki gets hurt has been used many times but if the writing stays the way it is now I honestly dont think I would mind.
