This anime is a great sliceoflife type mixed in with a little bit of magic being there are fox demigods involved. I scored this anime a 7/10 and Ill explain why. I mostly just write these reviews for myself but I dont make them private because I like to share my thoughts and get my brain working after I finish a good binge. So here it is. This anime was great in its own aspects and theres not much I can nitpick terribly about it. It does most things correctly and entertainingly enough and doesnt overdue it with any particular aspect. It was a good balance for an anime. Im very much into romance in an anime and while Senkosan isnt necessarily a romance anime nor is it a sort of point of interest that the story focuses on there are still hints here and there and it wouldnt surprise me if the author of the manga has already developed some sort of more romantic relationship between Kuroto and Senko since the manga is still ongoing and 30+ chapters ahead of where the anime currently stands. I havent read the manga past where the anime ends so I wont make any assumptions and understand that at the writing of this review I havent read the manga at all though I may in the future. Anyways as a fan of romance I appreciated the hints of affection and blushing they added to this despite not being labelled particularly as a romance. The character design is quite good as well as the animation. The style and animation works together very nicely and throughout the entire series your brain will constantly be screaming CUUUUUUTE at least it did for me. Senko as a character has already become very popularized and an iconic image so in terms of memorable characters Id say this series has that in the bag. The other characters were good also though a part of me didnt really like the character of Kouenji. She seemed to have a very typical character sheet and there wasnt all that interesting about her. Theres not very many characters to go off of in this series that really stick throughout the entire thing but that might just be to show how lonely Kurotos life really was before Senko came along. The story was good and the comedic bits were funny enough to make me chuckle. However it can get a little tiring and boring. For example most of the episodes consisted of just a lot of eating food Kouenji leaving for and coming back to work along with Senko saying the exact same thing every day that he comes back or a visit or two from Shiro or Sora. Theres just not a whole lot of super interesting things going on. It was the episodes like the snow episode when Kouenji got called in and he joined Senko playing in the snow and called her cute making he head turn red being a romance fan I loved this scene it was adorable. I love those types of episodes that change up the scenery and changes up whatever the characters are doing every other episode. Overall Its a well rounded anime. I gave this series a 7/10 because while it was interesting and cute it tended to get tiring over time and I think if it werent for Senko being there with her cute character to keep the show going this anime would be a flop. I think this series has high potential for a 2nd season as the manga is still ongoing and currently 30+ chapters ahead of the first season which only covers the first 23 episodes. I look forward to possibly picking the manga up or if the next season is ever announced I look forward to that as well. Would I recommend this anime to my friends? Yes.
