A sincere review of the advert called Idea or Imagination As my last review stated the male that sees his love interest everywhere is a simpleton. He lives eager just for a sliver of attention from the woman which she would have given if he did not see her everywhere. It starts with a small intro of the studio itself which is smart since it is an advertisement for the studio. The male protagonist which I will call Steven as he actually has not gotten a name in the advert looks at his watch patiently waiting for the woman he admires. After looking at this watch for approximately 1.5 seconds he looks up at the sky. At this moment the camera zooms a bit more in on his face so you can see his expression change. This is a smart move as if this would have not been done we would not have noticed this change. He looks over to his right to look at a mast which later will turn into looking like his love interest. When he notices the change he moves poses just a little which is a fun touch as this shows that he himself also was a small bit stumbled by this change in environment. This vision of her waves happily at Steven which makes him wave back. A cat notices this waving and walks up to the man and circles around at him to his feet. The cat looks at the man and stands right in front of his foot. Steven sees the cat change into the form of his love interest which is beautifully done since the cat turns into a nekomimi Japanese word for cat and often used to describe cat girls. This neko form of his love interest does the nyaa kawaii thingy to Steven which leaves anyone watching the advertisement pleased. Steven smiles at the cat just before looking over at the fountain which is filled with still standing water. The change from the fountain into which I presume to be his date is smartly done. A flock of birds flies by before the change which makes us focus less on the fountain itself and more on the birds flying by closely in front of the screen. While the closest bird to the camera flies by the statue changes into the female. This statue is seen to be sitting in the water and waving at the protagonist. The protagonist is seen to want to wave before cutting into him standing in the fountain having his hand held by the giant statue who looks like his love interest. Scratching his head Steven gets noticed by his real love interest. Since he was standing in a fountain and acting awkwardly with the statue the love interest was not really interested and decided on walking away after sighing with which looks to be a shrug kind of pose. Steven tries to walk after her but after jumping out of the fountain he stumbles and finds himself to have fallen onto the floor. As Steven lays on the ground it cuts back to the companies logo showing who made it again and delivering the advertisements purpose. I rate this advert a 74/100 as it is not perfect but it does what it needs to do. It shows that they can express stories and emotions just with a 30 second long advertisement and that they can draw in different styles. This truly shows that even if it is a short advert it can still express a lot of things. Sincerely Ren
