Science fell in love So I tried to prove it is a bizarre title but through all of its quirks it happens to be one of the best anime that Ive watched this year solidly gaining a rating of 8/10 from me and leaving its mark as one of my favourite shows of this year. First we get introduced to the two main characters Himuro and Yukimura. These two like almost all the characters in the show are sciencetypes. I personally find quite a lot of their antics and experimentation very funny as I think the show does a really good job at showing that these two definitely arent normal bit in a good way. A good example of this is when instead of kissing to see if they are in love with each other they devise an equation to find the factors of what mood is before they start. While this may be outlandish the characters pursue this goal with while being wholly sincere and I think this is one of the things that make the show good. Moving on to music and art there really isnt anything I can criticise. The art is really high quality and Ive had the op and ed going round in my head for days now. The ending was as good as the opening too which is a quality you dont see much in modern day anime. I particularly liked the opening as it has both really good music and outstanding artwork. The artwork isnt just still images either this impressive opening has many fluid and dynamic artwork while still managing to be upbeat and dramatic. It is my opinion that the opening of a show has a real impact on how people perceive the show as a whole and this one knocked it out the park. Looking at some more characters we see characters such as Kanade Inukai Ibarada and the kind but scary teacher Ikeda. These characters complement the main characters very well but I personally find it quite disappointing that there wasnt more focus on characters other that Himuro and Yukimura as I feel like it wouldnt have been so hard to toss the other characters a plot line every once in a while. I would have really liked to have seen more detail paid to these other characters because in the show it just feels like theyre only there to support Himuro and Yukimura which kinda breaks the enjoyment slightly for me I think the show could have had one or two side story archs that perhaps focus on the relationship between Inukai and Ibarada or maybe a small slot focused on the teacher Ikedas backstory. In conclusion I found I enjoyed this show thoroughly and although there were some areas in which I feel the show could have been made better I still think that this show is well above average in almost all aspects such as art plot character design and development and sound. Overall I rate this 82/100 or good.
