Ryuutarou Nakamura

Got his start in the industry as an animator at Madhousehttps://anilist.co/studio/11/ in the late 70s. Soon after he switched his focus from animating to directing and storyboarding works himself. As a director Nakamura is often praised for his use of sound and is known for some of the most notable works of the medium such as Serial Experiments Lainhttps://anilist.co/anime/339/ Kinos Journeyhttps://anilist.co/anime/486/ and Ghost Houndhttps://anilist.co/anime/2596/ among others. Following several months of hospitalization Nakamura passed away on June 29 2013 due to pancreatic cancer. His death was announced nearly a month later.
