Twitter Instagram Influenced by Hiroyuki Nakanos commercials and music videos he studied video art at the Musashino Art University joining Gento Matsumotos company Sal Brunei as a graphic designer. He soon changed his occupation to the animation industry having aspired to be an animation director since his childhood. He initially joined Group TAC where he worked as episode director and storyboard artist under the guidance of Mitsuru Hongou His first major role was as mechanical/creature designer on Chikyuu Bouei Kazoku working alongside Shouji Kawamori and Kazutaka Miyatake with whom he would collaborate profusely afterwards. He later moved to studio Bones landing as assistant director for Yutaka Izubuchi RahXephon The two became close collaborators with Kyouda soon taking the leading role on the RahXephon: Pluralitas Concentio movie. Soon after he directed Eureka Seven incorporating his love for music and different subcultures into mecha anime.
