Rain

Associated names: Ruan JunTing Graduated with a master degree in Fine Design she began in 1997 to produce and publish comic works as well as design covers and illustrations for Chinese comic magazines. She has paricipated to many exhibitions worldwide in 2006 in Compound gallery in California. In 2007 the exhibition Comic artists desire took place in Hong Kong Arts Center. She also invested herself in animation : the animation film White Snake directed by her at the beginning took part in the Annecy Film festival in France in 2007 and Stuttgart International film festival in Germany in 2008 as the only Chinese one in competition. Later it has been invited to many others Animation Festivals in the world. In addition Rain has attended the Retrospective exhibition of Chinese Modern film in Montreal and the 10th Wiesbaden International Weekend of Animation. She his now working on new projects including the production of manhuas or the cooperation with John Woo to design characters of his new movies. Rain is also a teacher in animation department of China Academy of Art School of Media and Animation.
