F.T. Island

F.T. Island Korean: Five Treasure Island or FTI is a fivemember South Korean band. The name F.T. Island stands for Five Treasure Island noting that each of the five members is a treasure of talents of their own. The band consists of Choi Jonghoon leader guitar and keyboard Lee Honggi main vocals Lee Jaejin bass and 2nd vocals Song Seunghyun guitar vocals and rap and Choi Minhwan drums and sub vocalist. Oh Wonbin left the group in 2009 and was replaced by Seunghyun. F.T. Island has released until 2018 sixteen fulllength albums eight minialbums many singles and soundtrack productions for different drama theme songs and anime openings. F.T. Island is considered to be South Koreas first instrumental idol band. The band had also won various prestigious awards such as the Golden Disk Awards and Seoul Music Awards and held more than 10 different tours since debut. On March 14 2019 Choi Jonghoon retired from the entertainment industry amidst allegations of being involved in bribery and sharing of illicit sex videos and pictures a part of the Burning Sun scandal.
