Satoko Okudera born 1966 in Iwate Prefecture Touhoku is a Japanese screenwriter. She is known for her screenplays in both the liveaction and anime mediums. Her 1995 screenplay for Gakk no Kaidan was nominated for the Japan Academy Prize. She is currently bestknown for her collaborations with anime director Mamoru Hosoda.
