Cheng entered the comics industry in 1992 and has worked for Kwongs Creations Comics Limited and Ocean Creative Company Limited. He has started writing comics since 1999 publishing Mo Shen Chuan literally: The Legend of Evil Devils. His name began to be known as he took over the title Wu Shen Feng Huang literally: Warlord Phoenix. He embarked on his solo career in 2006. Dragon Sha Dao Xing Zhe literally: The Killer and God Legion series 13 are some of the examples among his comics portfolio.
