He is one of the leading artists and founding members of the Tokyobased net label TREKKIE TRAX. Taimeis main output is UK garage juke and postbass music. His talent of taking genres like dubstep and future bass and giving them an old school spin making use of house/garage and techno sounds has garnered attention from artists worldwide. He has released EPs and singles on several overseas labels and has also remixed Japanese acts such as mflo and P HachiojiP. Taimei is also an active DJ often seen mixing at clubs around Japan having toured overseas in Korea China and the United States and opening for overseas acts like Dombresky Ryan Hemsworth and Porter Robinson. He also hosts a weekly show on block.fm alongside his brother Seimei Kawai and fellow TREKKIE TRAX members andrew and Masayoshi Iimori where they showcase new releases from the label and guest mixes from upandcoming talents in the Japanese scene.
