Bloodthirsty Butchers are a longrunning indie rock and punk rock band from Sapporo Hokkaido Japan. Although littleknown in the West they have contributed to two compilations on the Olympia Washington based Yoyo label. Famous Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano is an avid fan of the group and has sung and played guitar on a few of the bands songs.
On May 27 2013 Hideki Yoshimura suddenly died of acute cardiac failure. He was 46. The band canceled all the tour dates planned.
