Jun Oson

Influenced by magazines such as relax and STUDIO VOICE he aspired to become a designer during his high school years and studied layout and package design at the Aichi Sangyo University Design Department. After graduating from university she worked at a design office in Nagoya City but decided to become an illustrator to find a job where she could express herself. In 2005 he moved to Tokyo and in 2007 he started his own company after working on an animation for NHK Influenced by James Jarvis he creates pop and cynical illustrations that are reminiscent of the 1970s and 1980s. The pen name OSON is an acronym for OutSider Of Nisshin a stray from Nisshin which he wrote on the team logo of a sticker commissioned by a friend when he was in college.
