Minetaro Mochizuki was born on the 29th of January 1964 in Yokohama the most important industrial and business center in the Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating the Tokyo Academy for Design he was awarded the Kodansha Prize for Upcoming Authors which is dedicated to the renowned mangaka Tetsuya Chiba.
