Hey I'm Ed, a mango (manga) enthusiast.
I like my mangoes the way I like my oxygen; in a steady flow.
What I think I do with my life (most of the time)
40% Readings Mangoes
30% Watching Anime
15% Playing Games (Currently: Pokémon GO, The Battle Cats, some game on the Switch, rarely on my 3DS)
10% Watching Football (soccer)
5% Everything Else
Significant life event:
May 2017: The Great MangAnime takeover
most of my library was read/watched since then.
MangAnime consumption habits:
I'm more of a seasonal anime watcher and ongoing manga marathoner.
Binge reading/watching a completed title I end up enjoying often leaves me at the end feelin' like
I still binge finished airing anime and finished manga of course, just not as often.
Fell free to recommend me titles to add to my lists! It'll be bumped up in the queue if it's already on there (I stopped actively adding to my planning lists though so a title may be on my list, but just not on my list).
are based on the grading system I grew up in where less than 50 is a fail, 70-79 is about average, and 80+ is good.
To keep them simple,
7.5 and above is acceptable,
as in I would recommend you at least try it if you're unsure about trying it.
7 is this weird middle area where a bunch of meh titles go.
6.5 to about 5.5 I either think are bad OR did not enjoy OR both.
The ultra rare 5 and below is a mix of "this is actually terrible" and "how did I actually finish this?"
No score means I gotta re-read/re-watch it.
Origin of "TheOtherEd"
There was a time in school when I shared the exact same first AND last name (but not middle name) with an Ed one year ahead of me. I was mistaken for the other Ed by one of their friends online and kept getting tagged in pictures of them. Occasionally I'd meet people who thought of the other one first when my first name got mentioned. Eventually I came up with and embraced the idea of me simply being "the other Ed" and I've been using TheOtherEd or variations of not being The Ed (like AnotherEd) as usernames and identities online ever since.
