Follow me on Twitterhttps://twitter.com/crowdeyata I rate music toohttps://rateyourmusic.com/Yata Ill be scoring things episodically and then taking aggregate scores Ill include these in tags or something? applied to the following bell curve: 10: Top Percentage Why am I not rewatching this right now? 9: 92.697.5 Outstanding series just missing something 8: 8692.5 Enjoyable and prompts further considerations 7: 7185 Engaging yet unfulfilling in some way 6: 5170 A fun treat candy for the soul 5: 3150 Mediocre nothing more to say 4: 1630 Underwhelming but not awful 3: 7.615 Why did I even bother with this? 2: 2.57.5 Dropped later on 1: Bottom Percentage Dropped extremely quickly Generally speaking everything is relative to the 10 scores description: if Im made aware of the possibility that I could be rewatching one of my favorites instead of spending time on a new series that doesnt bode well to the series at hand. 9s all remind me a lot of the 10s Ive established yet I cant place exactly what it is they lack. Something just feels off about them. 8s are a bit more mysterious in that they may or may not actually possess the requisite traits and Ill glance back at them from time to time in wonder. 7s are where I start having subconscious doubts but usually the series are good enough for me to not worry about it during the runtime. 6s are in a similar vein but Im far more likely to regret it after the series concludes. 5s are where the flaws really start to show and I wonder what Im actually doing watching the series at hand and it just goes downhill from there with varying frequency of doubt ranging from the series conclusion to every single episode. Somehow though I still managed to finish all the series to this point. 2s and 1s are the only definite cases where Im made fully aware that Im wasting my time and make the executive decision to stop wasting time and do something else. Im still playing around with how exactly to represent dropped series which may also influence the breakdown of these tiers further. For now Im assigning 0 scores to all dropped episodes and allowing that to reflect upon their scores. This obviously tanks them and creates a huge gap between the scores given to 2s and to 3s but I guess mentally I see it that way anyway. Not sure how to logically compromise this right now.
