He is the Super High School Level Detective or the Ultimate Detective in the English version. Shuichi appears to be quite serious and polite but he is also very timid and lacks selfconfidence. Despite his amazing detective skills and superior ability and insight Shuichi claims that he hasnt accomplished enough to be called a detective and doesnt think he deserves his Ultimate title as he only happened to solve a murder case by chance. With his unsure demeanor he tends to assume that other people can do things better than him and he comes across as unreliable at first glance. However he can be stronger when the situation calls for it. He wears his hat to avoid directly looking at others.
