Ainchase Ishmael

A mysterious man who appeared before the El Search Party/ESP. He claims he is a priest serving a goddess and offers to help them find the stolen El Shard. However everything about him still remains a mystery. Ain was created by the Goddess Ishmael to restore the power of El. While doing this he fell through a gap in Time Space causing him to lose control of his powers. Depending on the path you choose for him in the game he will either succeed in regaining these powers or lose control of them and transform into a manifestation of the very concept of emptiness. Each path represents one of the known Gods in the game his true path being Bluhen which follows Elria rather than Ishmael. Since Ain is an angel he struggles to understand how nonangels interact and is often confused about emotions customs and other things the members of the ESP consider normal. He has a habit of nicknaming people based on what he knows about them an example being him calling Rena Ms. Elf or Eve Ms. Queen. All the members of the ESP as well as various NPCs except for Elsword are victim to this habit much to their dismay. Only two members of the ESP have picked up on the fact that theres more to him than he lets on though neither of them feel the need to inform the rest of the team. Only one NPC has been shown to be aware of his status as an angel this being Hernia who is the current vessel for Ishmael. Even though shes a vessel shes proven that shes able to break free and will occasionally speak her own mind. In a later quest Hernia manifests in Ains unconsciousness as herself rather than the Goddess and helps him heal but also fight his insecurities regarding his mission given to him by Ishmael. Thanks to Hernia Ain is able to continue his mission on his own terms in his true path.
