A congenial shapeshifting youkai who has befriended Miroku. Hachis natural appearance is a yokaitanuki RaccoonDog. Hachi is short for Hachiemon. Once took the form of Miroku to sell fake seals and get away with the ladies. But when Miroku catches him he is being assaulted by a spirit haunting a cave. Hachi sometimes acts as the transportation for InuYashas group and would risk his life to take them into the heart of enemy territory or ship them out of danger when its necessary.
