Despite his aura of hostility towards Cherry Blossom they are good friends who have the utmost confidence in each other and their abilities. He is shown to be deeply attached to Kaoru being the person for whom Kaoru sneaks out of the hospital after his injury and the one who carried Kaoru when he passed out after Adams attack. Kojiro and Kaoru were shown to be close using each others first name in addition to the childhood friend aspect. Kojiro is extremely loyal to Kaoru and so is Kaoru. Kojiro has a papa bear mentality and appears as a father figure to the young boys giving them advice and noticing things that are wrong with them. He is very openminded and kind to the young boys trying to help them whenever he can. He helps Reki overcome his doubts and often picks him up when he is afraid he might do something reckless. He talks to Reki when he is depressed trying to help him regain his selfesteem. He notices the little things in the younger boys behavior and his playboy personality fades as he shows support. He not only helps Reki but also Langa to rekindle his friendship with Reki. He often has a teasing aspect to his entity but underneath his playboy exterior he is a very loyal watchful and relaxed person who enjoys helping others.
