Amaranta belongs to a group of people who makes a point to rent gondolas sculled by singles so as to help nurture their growth. She shows up in episode 2 of Aria the Origination quotThat Smiling Customerquot after renting Akari039s gondola for the day. At the end even though she039s been to all the spots Akari guided her through she pointed out that it wasn039t the destination that mattered but the heart and spirit of the Undines themselves that made the journey enjoyable. Amaranta is an anime only character and does not show up in the manga.
