He lived with his father until he married Rins mom Miyu. He hates the smell of smoke because he remembers his mom as smoking. Because of this he carries around a water gun that looks like a gun.
He at first believes that Miyu took his dad away from him and is against the marriage but softens up a bit. As soon as he realized it he bluntly told Rin he loved her.
