Another of Tezukas scientist and doctor characters Makeru Butamo has made an appearance in many of his manga series. However unlike Dr. Ochanomizu and Dr. Hanamaru who always have the good of science and mankind in mind Makeru Butamo is frequently a conspirator an ally of bad people a taker of bribes or simply pigheadedly wrong and while he is rarely the source of any intentional evil he is frequently responsible for it.
