Yaji and Kita and their adventures parody two comedic figures from Japanese literature who wandered from town to town, encountering bad guys and generally making fools of themselves. In this iteration, they are two schoolgirls who wander from school to school, fighting the bad guys and generally saving the day. Note: Yajikita Gakuen Douchuuki was initially serialized in Bonita from 1982 to 1991. It continued to be serialized in Mystery Bonita from December 6, 2003, to February 6, 2006. The first 22 volumes were published by Akita Shoten between 1983 and 1991; volumes 23 through 29 were published from 2004 to 2006.
