SPOILERS Oh boy where do we commence with this masterpiece. With only a minute long runtime there are many paramount themes and points that the director Shigeo Shichiji has envisioned while making this. Upon culminating this episode one is left with many questions about what they have visually examined and a feeling of querying ones everyday life. Are they fulfilled with what they do? Are they putting in all the effort they can do to achieve ones goal? These were one of the many questions I had. I am sure that the director had this in mind when creating this oeuvre. Firstly lets take an optical canvassing of the scene and characters to understand what everything represents. We are in some type of workplace then we enter an elevator. The elevator represents a tight space which will bring out fear and leave one querying things this is precisely what this anime is about. Querying everything. A lady is the first one who we optically discern in this anime and enters the elevator first she looks tired and wishes that she didnt have to enter work today. The lady didnt get a name so we can postulate that she is only there to sanction Chicken Papa to verbalize and show his feelings about life and sundry other themes. Next we see the absolute chad of a chicken Chicken Papa that enters the elevator. They are wearing an American styled TShirt which shows that they are in leisure virtually not caring about anything. However they are a father as the title apprises us so he is exerting himself strenuously to keep earning money for his family which everyone can deference. One important thing to note is that the chicken is getting off at the 10th floor the top floor of the workplace. By this we can postulate that the chicken is a high ranking member of the organisation exhibiting us that they are prosperous in life. 500https://i.ur.com/oJfIisC.png Next the dialogue. There isnt much dialogue in this anime however it is very paramount to plenarily understand this anime. The main interaction between the characters was a very short comment however with this comment we can understand Chicken Papa quite well. You probably ate garlic chicken yesterday Then follows up with: You smell like garlic These two quotes tell us a lot about Chicken Papa these quotes are genuinely genius we have to give the director credit for this. With these quotes we can postulate that the chicken is quite a solitary fellow who finds it hard to socialise with coworkers and probably doesnt have many friends. Due to this many anime watchers will relate to him. Striking an emotion of exasperation at oneself many will endeavor to figure their life out and aspire to be akin to Chikin Papa a prosperous businessman. Additionally due to Chicken Papa emphasising that the lady consumed chicken it can show that they could be mad at her for victualing his own kind. But this is never substantiated and is just a theory. At the end of the episode we get to the comedy part where the chicken commences making chicken noises. This was absolutely hysterical. Finally my favourite quote from the lady: Pardon? Overall Chicken Papa is an anime that is incredibly short yet has a plethora of themes that will leave the viewer querying ones life and hungry for more episodes. I hope that one day we will get a sequel.
