Note This review contains light spoilers Let me start off by saying Diamond is Unbreakable is easily worth your time. With a really huge cast of characters outstanding character designs unique fights with the most unpredictable conclusions and finally a great villain to raise the stakes near the end JoJos Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable is a gift that keeps on giving. Artstyle The very first thing alot of reviewers and regular people bring up is the artstyle and thats for a good reason. Although big muscular men were something that was present from Part 1 to Part 3 which became iconic when it came to Jojo franchise i welcome the huge change in the artstyle with the vivid and beautiful colours that made the whole show much more upbeat and colorful. It also makes this part very distinct compared to the other parts in the series which is a huge plus. Character designs have been vastly improved aswell being much more unique from character to character. From the distinct heartpin on Josukes collar indicating his desire for love and peace in his hometown to Kiras design being inspired by DavidBowie with the easygoing eyes showing he is in control and he desires a simple life. 440https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/627869101867401239/835944160645087302/latest.png?width=1202height=676 Story Albeit the storys premise isnt as engaging as the previous part il have to admit that its really entertaining once you get a few episodes in. New concepts extremly entertaining character moments and the last few episodes being the absolute peak of the show the Stand of The Week format being used here isnt as in your face as the previous Parts which is a huge plus and i am extremly glad it got fixed. Instead of constantly going through new onedimensional enemies with cool stands we get to meet new characters that are here for the ride which get their fair share of character moments toghether especially the trio of Josuke Okuyasu and Koichi. The best reason for me liking this Part has to be the fact that the whole show takes places in Morioh only which makes the town feel much more alive with different places to go and doesnt feel like a oneoff destination which is also a huge improvement aswell. As i have mentioned before there are episodes which we get to meet new characters with no direct relevance to later episodes but i honestly really love these episodes as they build upon the characters more and more. Did i forget to mention the completely bizzare shit that happens in this show? Its the most distinct part about Jojo and what essentially makes Jojo...Jojo 440https://geekireland.com/wpcontent/uploads/2018/11/maxresdefault71024x576.jpg Characters Characters are absolutely great Josuke is an honest teenager who loves his hometown more then anything and isnt afraid to get his hands dirty. He might come off as a delinquent at first who has a bad side but god do i love him easily the best Jojo protagonist when it comes to anime. His personal flaws as a teenager with the heroic goals he has in mind as a guy in his situation just irks you to support him even if you dislike him at first. He gets mad/greedy which makes him more humane and much more enjoyable to watch. And that hair? Its GURETO Rohan Kishibe...the sassy character that was a complete dickhead at first generally made me love him at the end. The way he dislikes Josuke Okuyasu and Koichi at first but slowly and slowly begins to care for them is intruiging to watch. Ofcourse he still dislikes Josuke a bit but what can i say he can be a bit annoying at times His narcisstic personality toghether with his pretty amazing fashion sense its no wonder why people love him Koichi Initially a very shy and timid guy he begins to develop into a very charismatic guy who isnt afraid to speak up which still has the same feeling that viewers felt attached to in the first place. His relationship with his stand is also pretty fun to watch as we havent seen much of it prior to Part 4 which makes Act3 even more unique. Overall a loveable dude with his own goals and flaws but it just makes him all the better. Kira Yoshikage is an awesome villain aswell He isnt this crazy villain that wants to take over the world or anything like that instead he wants to leave a peaceful life...while taking that away from other people quite ironic really. The reason i love him is the fact that he is very careful with the lengths he can go and his paranoid ways of acting influences his decisions later in the story aswell. The reveal of his hand fetish was the creme of the top aswell making him out to be either horrifying or comedically evil which is a pretty damn good decision for Araki to take. I also love his stand and how its countered completely by Josukes which makes their rivalry much more compelling Jotaro Kujo My oh my he is still the same guy from Part 3 albeit much more timid here. I dont think Jotaro really needs any character development as he is already good as he is but in this part he is alot more calm about things contrasted in his new theme in Part 4. Still a badass dude who i have come to the decision that he is one of the top characters in Jojo 440https://64.media.tumblr.com/172c5a2ff50b472d9f250e3fe738ccb4/tumblroorzvaHTDZ1vker29o1540.gifv Verdict There is alot to be had here in this part which makes this Part such a standout compared to the rest out there. A really vibrant cast of characters full with their own flaws which makes them more human an engaging story which unfolds beautifully within the last three episodes new ideas like an evolving stand arrows being introduced in new ways a great villain that challenges the ideal of the protagonist both in writing and just fighting and finally easily the best music in Jojo this is a certified banger anime that deserves all the praise it gets and more. If you have had any hesitations to watch Part 4 please do yourself a favor and watch this one it is easily worth your time. 440https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/627869101867401239/835956714930569316/1523878531tenor.gif Thanks for taking the time to read my review Would be appreciated if you could give feedback on my profile and as always take care
