Based on the title and description I had very low expectations of this. Nevertheless I couldnt be happier that I gave it a chance. At first I was nervous by hints at a love triangle and drama surrounding the relationship but this is dealt with quickly. I let my guard down as I realized this story is truly about the nurturing of a relationship between two people full of inadequacies. Both are determined to support each other in striving to be better versions of themselves. Youll follow this couple through their last years in high school as their love grows despite life sometimes getting in the way. The story progresses at a nice pace and the characters behavior carry consequences. Characters spoilers Saki Meguro Emotionless and mysterious type with a twist: shes not as unaware or innocent as she looks. I was initially upset that Meguro was dense as a rock easily manipulated into sleeping with her past boyfriends and didnt seem to care. But as her background is revealed I grew to understand how her mind got to such a degrading point. Slowly but surely she learns to express her feelings/desires and prioritize her wellbeing. Overall a sweet girl that is kind to others genuinely cares for her boyfriend Koga and doesnt leave all the work to him in terms of character development Makoto Koga Starts as a quiet loser that nobody expects much from but with balls big enough to confess to Meguro. Since this is his first relationship with a girl waaay out of his league of course he would be insecure nervous and far from perfect. What makes him shine is his dedication respect for boundaries and not being a typical pervert mc only interested in sex. His flaws are slowly improving as he becomes more mature and self assertive. The moments he feels like a fake perfect boyfriend are nicely contrasted by times his weaknesses come through. Aya Love her The side characters are also unique and interesting so Id love to see how their stories progress. Im in no rush for this to finish as the pace is great and there is much yet to be explored
