Boruto isnt Naruto but that doesnt make the series bad. If anything that just makes it much better. Plot: 9.9/10 The plot of the Boruto manga is one of the best battle shounen plots we ever written. Unlike most battle shounen protagonist Boruto is spoiled and has everything he could ever want at the beginning of the story. As the story progresses we see him mature into the role of a great shinobi. Unlike his fathers story Borutos story contains extreme advancements in technology which allows for many cool concepts such as scientific ninja tools cyborgs or even clones. This all makes for one of the more unique and interesting plots in all of manga. The Boruto manga isnt finished as of this review but from we have seen Boruto has the potential to go down as one of the greatest if not the greatest manga of all time. 500https://data.whicdn.com/images/316291201/original.gif Characters: 10/10 With the new generation of shinobi comes a new cast of characters. Many of the new gen characters share traits of their parents but just do them much better. Boruto is like young Naruto but smarter and stronger. Sarada inherits the physical strength of Sakura and visual prowess of Sasuke but unlike her parents she isnt useless and actually has chakra. Mitsuki is mysterious like Orochimaru was back them but uses his powers for the good of Konoha. Shikadai is like his father but smarter. I could go on and on about each and every member of the new generation of shinobi but I think you get the point. The art and paneling in Boruto is very unique and can only really be replicated by Ikemoto himself. Ikemoto manages to get away with using speed lines instead drawing backgrounds in a lot of action sequences which helps clearly show the motions and actions of the characters. Ikemoto also never utilizes double page spreads which is a very unique and interesting artistic choice.
